Topic: 5G evolution - Security controls and assurance
Hosted by the AISA Sydney Branch, please join Dr David Soldani, Adj. Professor at University of NSW, and CSO at Huawei Technologies for an online presentation discussing the main 5G security requirements and review of 5G security controls and assurance schemes.

The first set of security requirements for 5G is from the vertical sectors, and it is mostly related to the availability of connectivity, as the unavailability of the 5G service could have a huge impact in production. The second set of concerns, relates to confidentiality and integrity of information and communication on virtualized platforms and network slices, which is sourced from the telecommunication providers. The third category of requirements, relate to having in place, a unified, standardised and authoritative scheme for mobile network element security assurance.

5G is expected to provide ultra-reliable low latency connectivity to remote and intelligent control of terrestrial and aerial unmanned vehicles, robotic platforms and critical infrastructures, such as electricity, water, gas, ports and transport. Therefore, any 5G system failure could have potential and serious ramifications of human lives. Attend this session to explore the 5G security requirements, its deployment and the importance of using trustworthy products and resilient networks.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions. This webinar will be recorded and the recording will be made available to registrants.
