Joint Cyber Security Centre and ACIC – Reporting Cyber Incidents
Robert Hartley works for the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission and is the senior liaison officer permanently deployed at the new Brisbane Joint Cyber Security Centre (JCSC) which is co-located with the CERT Australia Brisbane office. Robert will present on his work with the ACI, the JCSC and and reporting of malware and cybercrime incidents.

Robert Hartley is the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) senior liaison officer permanently deployed to the Brisbane JCSC. He is a senior member of the ACIC Cybercrime Intelligence team.Previously, Robert was deployed to the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) since its opening.
Before joining the ACIC, Robert worked at the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) as a software developer and training lead for his section in CNO.
He was recruited from the Communication Security Establishment Canada where he was a software developer with the Tailored Access Operations – Network Programs team.
Although a long time software developer, Robert got his official start in cyber security in 2002 at the Correctional Service Canada as Chief of Network Security, and has been enjoying it ever since.
He lives in Brisbane with his wife, children and family dog.
