Your Bank Account and The Hidden Layers of Security

We all have a bank account and many of us assume that such data is well protected. Would you like to know how the security controls are imposed to make your money safe? We will walk through the anion layers of security from hardware to software under the watchful eye of IT Auditors. This will be an informative session with a wide-ranging discussion on encryption applications, security controls, reliable systems and big data. Join us in exploring protection layers of our account’s security in today’s banking world.

Speaker: Bob McCormack, Senior Software Engineer, IBM Australia

Bob McCormack is a Senior Software Engineer with IBM and has worked on many software development projects notably SSL for z/OS, Security Server (for mainframe), zSecure (another security layer) and a number of compilers and assemblers. Bob’s current work is supporting a core banking system somewhere offshore. He has written several external technical publications and has several patents.
