Tony Hasek, CEO and Founder, Goldilock
Tony is the inventor (now co-inventor) of Goldilock. With
a background ranging from trench digging Canadian and Australian qualified
paratrooper to leading cutting edge technology firms, Tony is an experienced
entrepreneur and company builder who is not afraid to roll-up his sleeves and
do anything to move the team forward. He has a history of predicting market
changes, envisioning needs, and building solutions to address them. Tony has
raised tens of millions of dollars from leading angel organizations and VC
firms for his own and other ventures and invested millions of his own money in
his own ventures - including Goldilock.
After leaving the Canadian Army and
graduating from the University of Toronto, Tony moved to then Czechoslovakia
where he founded, scaled & exited one of the largest System Integration
companies in Central Europe. Tony was then selected by Apple Computer to open
the first Authorized Apple Store East of Berlin. Tony has extensive experience
in software and application development. He founded Goldilock because he has a
vision of the Internet being a safer place for all.
General Sir Chris Deverell, KCB MBE ADC Gen (retired)
General Sir Chris Deverell was commissioned into the Second Royal Tank Regiment in 1979. After graduating from Oxford University with a degree in politics, philosophy and economics, he saw regimental service in Northern Ireland, Germany, Belize and Cyprus. He commanded the Joint Nuclear Biological and Chemical Regiment (First Royal Tank Regiment) at RAF Honington in Suffolk, and 4th Armoured Brigade in Iraq and Germany. General Deverell has served 4 appointments in the Head Office of the Ministry of Defence: in Land Systems Operational Requirements, in Army Plans, as Assistant Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for Defence, and as Director of Equipment Capability (Ground Manoeuvre). His operational appointments include Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for Land Operations in the Permanent Joint Headquarters, Chief of Staff to the Senior British Military Advisor at US Central Command during the build-up to and invasion of Iraq, and Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff (Operations/Commitments) in Headquarters Land Forces.
On promotion to Major General in December 2008, he became Director General Logistics Support and Equipment in Headquarters Land Forces, before moving to Defence Equipment and Support in March 2011 as Director Materiel Strategy. In July 2012 he was appointed Chief of Materiel (Land) and Quartermaster General. Upon promotion to General in April 2016 he assumed Command of Joint Forces Command until 2019.
In 2019, he founded an Innovation, Strategy and Leadership Consultancy, called Deverell Innovation Ventures, he is also a Mentor for the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) at Saïd Business School, an External Member of the Council of the University of Oxford, and was a member of the Commission for Smart Government in 2020.
