Providing Opportunity and Building a Safer Nation

As an independent not-for-profit charity regulated by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), AISA has established the AISA Foundation Scholarship Fund.

This fund has been endorsed as a deductible gift recipient (DGR) to provide scholarships to increase the number of women, Indigenous Australians and those from disadvantaged backgrounds (e.g. financial hardship, disability, remoteness etc), to build a career in cyber security.

AISA is delighted to be able to accept public donations and provide fully tax deductible receipts, as well as dispense scholarships across Australia.

This fund is integral to bringing greater diversity to the cyber security sector and positively change the lives of disadvantaged families and communities.

AISA has already pledged $100k to begin this fund and is committed to topping it up annually.

Individuals or businesses that would like to give back to the community can contribute to this charitable to help expand the number of scholarship recipients.

100% of all donations received go directly to scholarships.

To be eligible candidates must be an Australian citizen, resident in Australia, who are one of the following:

  • women, or
  • person of Indigenous Australian descent or
  • disadvantaged

and enrolled or planning to enrol full-time and expecting to continue in full time study of cyber security or cyber privacy as part of a relevant a degree, diploma or certificate-granting course at a government-run TAFE or government-run University in Australia

Disadvantage encompasses a range of evidenced barriers to achievement, including but not limited to, a disability, a neurodiversity disadvantage such as diagnosed learning disabilities, and social, economic or opportunity disadvantage (e.g. financial hardship, remoteness, etc)
