Ron Gula

Ron will walk us through the current state and future of IT security. There is a conflict underway between emerging secure design patterns and the practice of adding security to networks after they are up and running. The future for all of us will be a combination of these strategies. With this major theme in mind, Ron will also discuss the current state and future roles of compliance, vendor consolidation, the rebirth of incident response, the rebirth of open source and cyber warfare.

Ron Gula is speaking on Day 1 of the conference (Wednesday 19 October 2016).

Passport prize

Members who have attended an AISA National Conference in the past will be aware of the old-fashioned rubber stamps we used to collect for the passport prize ($2,500 gift card). This year we decided to make the ‘passport’ digital through the AISA App (more information about the app will be available soon). The App will have a Click Game where all members can collect pictures of the all the sponsor logo’s at their booths. Throughout the conference we will display the leader board to see who is most likely to take the prize home.
