Research Project | Cyber Skills Study
The Cyber Skills Study report was launched at the Australian Cyber Conference, Melbourne. The objective of the NSWCBE program was to analyse skills, competencies, and roles in today's cybersecurity workforce, identify gaps between available and in-demand skills, and anticipate future skill requirements. The Cyber Skills Study Report addresses these objectives in depth.
Meet An Expert Program
The goal of the meet an expert program was to provide support to NSW Cyber Businesses by connecting them with relevant subject matter experts. A series of events bringing together participants in an intimate setting providing tools to use in their individual business.
Negotiating and networking
Held at The Mint in Sydney, this event brought together 50 cyber business professionals for an interactive session on effective negotiation led by industry expert Sam Trattles. The session was followed by a networking opportunity to apply the learnings in practice.
Importance of Partnerships
As part of SydneySEC, this event focused on the value of partnerships in business. Tech entrepreneur Andrew Campbell shared insights and case studies with 50 cyber professionals. Attendees also engaged with SydneySEC trade exhibitors and expanded their networks over lunch.

Defence Sector Activities
Various initiatives supported cyber businesses in entering and expanding within the defence sector.
Land forces International Land and Defence Exposition | Melbourne
A delegation of three businesses attended Land Forces, Australia’s largest land defence exposition, which attracted over 20,000 attendees across three days. NSWCBE secured a pod within the Investment NSW pavilion, hosting Alpha Echo, Janusnet, and HyerGRC.

Health And Medical Sector Activities
The Health and Medical Sector Focus Group saw strong participation, with 48 cyber businesses attending a panel discussion on sector complexities. The panel was facilitated by Branko Ninkovic (AISA Board Member) and included representatives from:

- E-Health NSW Government
- St Vincent Health Australia
- Cyber CX – Health Specialist
Agriculture Sector Program Activities
Focus Group
The inaugural agriculture focus group brought together cyber businesses and key agriculture ecosystem stakeholders, including:
- The Australian Agritech Association
- The Gate Orange – Department of Primary Industries
- Food Innovation Australia (FIAL)
Agritech Tamworth
A delegation of five NSW cyber businesses attended the Agritech trade show under the NSW Cyber Business Exchange booth. Participating businesses included Cyconsole, Kobalt IO, Risk Associates, Guardware, and CISO Online, engaging with 850 attendees and 50 exhibitors. NSWCBE also sponsored a session titled "Cyber Security in Agriculture – How Protected Are You?", presented by Iman Tahame, Director of CISO Online.

- Exhibitors stand at Borenore Farms Days
NSWCBE sponsored the Agtech for Breakfast event, presenting on how farms and agribusinesses can enhance their cybersecurity resilience. Over 40 attendees gained insights and practical security tips. The message was further promoted at the Farms of the Future NSW Government stand during Borenore Farm Days.

The Australian Cyber Conference Melbourne
AISA’s premier event was attended by four cyber businesses, promoting their products and services while generating potential leads among the 5,654 delegates and 154 exhibitors. Co-exhibitors included: Datcom, Cyberwave IS, Insicon, and RST.


Legal and Innovation Tech Fest
This event introduced cyber companies to the legal sector, featuring eight participating cyber businesses: A24, Vertrex, NCloudR, Cyooda, Encaster, and Datcom. A dedicated cyber precinct with branding was designed to facilitate engagement with the 850 attendees.
NSWCBE also facilitated two speaker panels on the following topics:
