AISA Brisbane Branch Presents: The Virtual Cyber Quiz of 2021
Hosted by the AISA Brisbane Branch, please join the team for a fun online social event aimed at keeping you on your toes, having you compete against your fellow AISA members in a test of skill and speed, and distracting you from the whiplash of lockdowns!

The AISA Brisbane Branch is holding an in-person end of year function on Tuesday 14 December. However we understand not all members will be able to make in person, and want to ensure everyone gets to celebrate the end of this crazy year 2021 (or is it still 2020? Who knows! It all melds into one, doesn’t it…)

The winner of this inaugural event will be honoured with the G.O.A.T (greatest of all time) title and associated bragging rights.

Your Quiz Master for the evening will be none other than Brisbane Branch Executive Committee Member Bruce Large.

We’ll be using Kahoot during this meeting, and instructions to join the quiz will be provided as we begin, so be sure to arrive to the Zoom session on time if you do register for this event. During this event you can choose to have your microphone and/or webcam on. You’ll participate by visiting Kahoot and registering a player or team name (anonymity/pseudonymity welcome) and this will get you into the quiz and on to the scoreboard.

Cyber trivia questions will be presented in multiple rounds with categories such as:
1. A Mile Wide and an Inch Deep (General Knowledge)
2. Who Wants to be a Hacker? (Technical Questions)
3. Mitnick’s School of Wizardry (Quirky and Interesting)
4. Hollywood Hackers (Movie References)
5. Gardeners, Roses & Caterpillars (Risk & Compliance)

The rules?
1. All disputes, points and correct answers are determined by the Quiz Master; and
2. Refer to 1.

Who has what it takes? Who will be the inaugural winner of the AISA Brisbane G.O.A.T. trophy (and all associated bragging rights)? It could be you, if you act and register now!

Requirements to join the session:
The format of this event is a Zoom meeting which will allow all attendees to see each other (if video function activated), but all participants will be muted to allow only the Quiz Master to speak.

Participants will need to download the Kahoot app and create an account so that they can answer the questions live. It is strongly recommended that you have two separate devices open with each of the apps - Zoom AND Kahoot to enable ease of participation. An email with the link to join the meeting will be issued at least 24 hours prior to the session and the Kahoot pin will be shown during the Zoom meeting.

We encourage you to register early and we look forward to seeing as many members as possible at this exciting virtual event!
