Topic 1: What’s working and not working in the security vendor: client relationship
From the perspective of a head of digital and technology for a small/medium sized organisation (1400 users, 2500 devices) this session will present a very one sided perspective of the gaps between what security vendors currently offer, and the needs of running secure operations.
Speaker 1: Nathan Rogers, Chief Information Officer, Northern Beaches Council
Currently Chief Information Officer at Northern Beaches Council, Nathan has worked in a variety of roles both inside and outside of the traditional “IT department” and in industries as diverse as marketing, logistics, engineering, packaged product development and government.
Nathan’s career has tended towards working on information systems built on significant outdoor technology infrastructure which has led to his current focus on Smart Cities and related technology.
Topic 2: Anatomy of a WannaCry Attack
This presentation will examine the start of a WannaCry attack to the eventual removal across an enterprise network.
Speaker 2: Shane Feeney, Program Manager, Cemax Consulting
Shane is a long time digital engineer who has moved from building data centres, to project management and is now focusing on ISMS and ISO27001 implementations. He currently works at Cemax Consulting as a Program Manager.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of the speakers at the end of the presentation.
