AISA VIC Branch Meeting | 21 April 2026

Hosted by the AISA VIC Branch, this meeting offers members the chance to connect with fellow professionals, build valuable new professional relationships, and broaden your expertise in an engaging environment. The evening will open with a captivating presentation and discussion on Cyber Operations in Drone Warfare with guest speaker Mike Monnik, CEO at DroneSec.

Session Title:
Cyber Operations in Drone Warfare
The face of warfare has changed, with small, cheap, attritable drones being used to target multi-million dollar assets globally. Covert cyber operations are taking place against drone supply chains, watering-hole attacks against firmware and cat-and-mouse innovation to evade countermeasures (C-UAS). We will consider OPSEC and offensive techniques used by cartels, prison gangs and even military units within Ukraine.

This talk is not about low-level cyber security, exploits and vulnerabilities of drones. We will cover key tactical, strategic and operational cyber warfare activities in the drone space.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of the speaker and networking drinks with light refreshments will be served after the presentation.
