Information Security Management – Culture eats policy for breakfast every time

There is no shortage of best practice standards, policy guidelines and control sets to guide implementation of a safe and secure information management systems. Despite this, the anecdotal evidence remains strong that there are significant gaps in many organisation’s security posture.

This session will look at the role that senior management needs to play in any needed changes.

Speaker: Jeff Sussman, Alyne Australia
Jeff is a 35 year veteran of the IT industry who has always worked at the forefront of enabling technology. He began his career in engineering, specialising in project management and moved into a commercial environment after completing his MBA.

Over the past ten years his role has broadened to include risk management and governance in the area of information security and operational risk. Leveraging off a base of technical and management skills, his passion is assisting organisations benchmark their information and cyber security maturity and develop pragmatic remediation strategies.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of the speaker at the end of the presentation.

Light refreshments will be served after the presentation.
