Hosted by the AISA Sydney Branch, please join David Chadwick, who is the Director, Identity & Biometrics – Asia Pacific at Unisys Australia, for an online presentation on biometrics and the role that they play in risk management and establishing trust – especially in an online environment. 

Biometrics are rising as an advanced layer to many personal and enterprise security systems. With the unique identifiers of your biology and behaviours, this may seem foolproof. However, biometric identity has made many cautious about its use as standalone authentication.

Modern cybersecurity is focused on reducing the risks for this powerful security solution: traditional passwords have long been a point of weakness for security systems. Biometrics aims to answer this issue by linking proof-of-identity to our bodies and behaviour patterns.

Join this webinar as we explore the basics of biometrics, the role they play in anchoring and verifying an identity as well as dispelling some of popular myths.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions. This webinar will be recorded and the recording will be made available to registrants.

Speaker: David Chadwick
David has specialized in identity and biometrics for the past 15 years – working in both the public and private sectors. Currently employed by Unisys, he has overall responsibility for their identity and biometric initiatives in the Asia Pacific region. 
He has an extensive background in law enforcement, immigration and passports, as well as being a member of several international standards groups, including ISO SC37 (Biometrics) and ISO SC17 WG3 (Passports).
