AISA Adelaide Branch Webinar - May 6

Join us at the AISA Adelaide Branch for an online webinar on Remote working and the importance of cyber security with guest speaker Jacqueline Jayne,  Security Awareness Advocate for the APAC region for KnowBe4

Topic: Remote working and the importance of cyber security
The outbreak of COVID-19 has seen many organisations encourage their people to work from home or work remotely.  Whilst this is a logical step in keeping us safe from becoming sick, we also need to be safe when it comes to cybersecurity.

Without preparation businesses and their people are potentially more vulnerable as Hackers increase their onslaught of cyber-attacks on to unsuspecting people.
We have seen an influx of phishing emails designed to entrap users to click on a link or open a PDF which will unleash malicious software (malware). The very nature of COVID-19 causes fear and panic in many and hackers use this to their advantage.

When you are working without your IT support team down the hall or a colleague sitting next to you to speak with, a suspicious email received at home seems different somehow.  It’s important to be more aware than usual and know what you need to do should this situation present itself.

Speaker: Jacqueline Jayne, Security Awareness Advocate at KnowBe4
Jacqueline Jayne (JJ) currently serves as Security Awareness Advocate for the APAC region for KnowBe4, the world’s most popular security awareness and simulated phishing platform.

With over 20 years’ experience as a conduit between people and technology, she has mastered the art of communication and influence.  Previously, she led a successful cybersecurity education and awareness program that changed behaviour and culture, aimed at helping users make better cybersecurity decisions. Cybersecurity is everyone’s responsibility, and there is a gap in how to go about engaging hearts and minds across an entire organisation, regardless of its size.

Her insights on the human condition and how to engage at all levels in this space are invaluable as many people struggle to understand the cyberthreat landscape and equally, tech people struggle to understand engage the people to create change.  Humans are innately curious which in this climate causes major issues.

At the end of the presentation, there will be an opportunity for participants to ask questions via the Q&A box to the speaker.
