Darwin Branch Meeting: May 29

Darwin Month Day: branch meeting name
LUNCH AND LEARN session on Trusting daily used technology.

Trusting daily used technology

AISA has teamed up with the Chamber of Commerce NT to present a lunch and learn session, free to AISA members.

The use of USB’s and WiFi has become part of our daily lives without giving it a second thought. The main reasons are its easy, convenient, readily available and cost effective. Therefore most people now have an inherent trust in these technologies which, might not always be a good thing and could be exploited if not careful.
This session will be split up into two parts; USB and WiFi.

In terms of business use, we will look at:
·       normal usage
·       the risks
·       what attacks exist
·       how to detect and protect against these.

After the presentation there will be time for questions and optional group discussion about how this all applies to your businesses.

Speakers are Darwin Branch Committee Members Jeroen Schijvenaars and Sharmila Packiaraja.

AISA members: Please sign in to register for this event.
