The South Australian Government and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade invites you to attend a forum on Australian Cyber Diplomacy – Securing the economic potential of cyberspace.
Dr Tobias Feakin, the Australian Ambassador for Cyber Affairs will kick off a discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing Australian companies in growing our cyber economy, businesses and capabilities in a global context.
This forum is your opportunity to consider the South Australian cyber sector’s potential, requirements and strengths, and join a discussion that will seek to help shape the future of cyber in this state. Dr Feakin will then join an industry panel discussion led by Dr Eva Balan-Vnuk, Executive Director ICT and Digital Government, to talk over some of the key issues raised for cyber in South Australia through consultations and the efforts of many people in the local cyber community.
Dr Feakin is leading the Federal Government’s international engagement initiatives to advance and protect Australia’s national security, foreign policy, economics and trade interests relating to the network and cyberspace domains. The Marshall Government has committed to lifting South Australia’s economy and increasing the state’s prosperity. Following an independent review, key industries have been identified for achieving these goals with high tech industries and the cyber security sector central.
This event provides an early opportunity to join with your peers from across the South Australian and Australian cyber industry and stakeholder landscape to take on this opportunity.
Thank you to AISA for supporting this event.
