Topic: Auditing information in an enterprise
Jointly hosted by the AISA Canberra Branch and ISACA Canberra Chapter, please join Charles Palmer, who is a Partner at Anchoram Consulting and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Canberra, for a face-to-face meeting and networking opportunity with a live and interactive presentation on the importance of appropriate data and information quality as an effective decision making enabler.

Information is a primary driver for decision making. This presentation highlights areas where poorly informed decisions may be counter to corporate and operational outcomes. This information framework leverages parts of COBIT (https://www.isaca.org/resources/cobit) for alignment and governance “to help businesses develop, organize and implement strategies around information management and governance”.

The framework has been developed, researched, developed and used in practice since early 2000 and describes a review approach against the core decision-making asset: information.  It is aimed at boards and their executives to guide measurable outcome-based improvement by presenting findings and recommendations together with measurable improvement recommendations.

This presentation showcases some of the novel parts of the complete framework including but not limited to Information Security Credentials, Source Data Credentials, Extract Transform and Load from Source Data and Dashboards and Reports.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of the speaker and a light drinks and refreshments will be served before the presentation.
