The Security Intrapreneur: Achieving Improvement
Achieving significant change within an organisation is difficult, especially when the benefits are hard to define.
In this presentation, Daniel explores the opportunities for the security intrapreneur. Just like the successful entrepreneur, the intrapreneur drives security change through business value proposition, communication, engagement, and seamless delivery. By nurturing relationships with organisational stakeholders, the intrapreneur understandings the business landscape, and finds opportunity for continual security improvement.
This presentation demonstrates how we can all deliver significant improvement within our organisations, with or without a predefined project or budget, using real world examples. All achievable as a result of our ability to engage and collaborate.

Daniel is an experienced security professional, with more than a decade’s experience delivering results within large enterprise. In his consultative role, Daniel is responsible for complex transformations and security improvement deliverables in health, finance, and government sectors.
Daniel believes that security is key to enabling the digital world, and that as embedded successfully, will continue to make for a more opportunity rich Australia.
Daniel believes that collaboration is the heart of any successful organisation. Through formation of strong relationships, Daniel is able to better understand business requirements, delivering better results.
Outside of work, Daniel is a mentor, AISA committee member, and BrisSEC organiser.
