Perth Branch Meeting - July 31

Join us at the next Perth Branch for a breakfast meeting with guest speaker Raymond Schippers presenting on using MITRE ATT&CK

Topic: ATT&CKING your adversaries, using MITRE ATT&CK to enhance your intelligence and security posture

Organisations around the world struggle to methodically prioritise, evaluate and manage their threat prevention, detection and response capabilities. Utilising the MITRE ATT&CK framework and open source projects (and data) spawned from this, Raymond will talk through some easy ways to better manage your threat prevention and response capabilities.

MITRE ATT&CK™ is a globally-accessible knowledge base of adversary tactics and techniques based on real-world observations. The ATT&CK knowledge base is used as a foundation for the development of specific threat models and methodologies in the private sector, in government, and in the cybersecurity product and service community. ATT&CK is open and available to any person or organisation for use at no charge.

Speaker: Raymond Schippers, Check Point
Raymond Schippers is the principal threat analyst for Check Point Incident Response Team in the AMA region. He is responsible for managing the teams detection & analysis capabilities as well as maintaining the team’s threat intelligence capabilities. In this role Raymond regularly consults with SOCs around the globe, helping them develop their detection and response capabilities.

Raymond has over a decade of IT security experience and is focused on understanding attacker behaviours and techniques.  Armed with this he is better able to help organisations enhance their defence capabilities and deal with the ever growing and evolving threat landscape.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of the speaker at the end of the presentation.

Light refreshments will be served after the presentation.
