Speaker: Jason Smart, Cyber Threat Detection & Response Manager at PwC UK
Jason is a manager in PwC UK's Cyber Threat Detection and Response team responsible for managing the technical threat intelligence function. As a part of this he leads technical investigations into a broad range of Advanced Persistent Threat groups, and also spends time on the side developing the wider team's behavioral threat hunting capability and supporting incident response engagements. Before joining PwC he worked as a Senior Strategic Intrusion Analysis with Endpoint Detection and Response company CrowdStrike, and as a Senior Cyber Intrusion Analysis at the Australian Signals Directorate.
Jason will present on Operation Cloud Hopper: How private & public sector partners uncovered and disrupted one of the largest ever-sustained global cyber espionage campaigns. Jason Smart will provide a personal account of responding to intrusions connected with APT10 and how critical an end-to-end response is when it comes to tackling Advanced Persistent Threats.
