Speaker: Aaron Finnis - Associate Director, Information Security & Risk at Flinders University.
In 2012 Aaron was appointed as the first IT Security Manager at Flinders University. This appointment was made as part of a large Transformation Program of the Information Technology Services (ITS) group responsible for delivery of IT services to the University.
In this foundation role, Aaron was responsible for the establishment of an information security function from the beginning. Over the past three years Aaron has worked across organisational units leading numerous highly visible change initiatives whilst establishing an approachable and high performing information security team.
Aaron will share with the Adelaide AISA group some of the learnings from this journey and provide practical examples that can assist members in positioning information security as an enabler.
