Melbourne Branch Meeting - 23rd Aug

Melbourne Day Month: Meeting Name
Come join us, and hear from our International Guest Speaker: Tammy Moskites - CIO, CISO, Venafi

Machine Identity Protection

Every year organisations spend over 7 billion US dollars on Identity Access Management, ensuring that only trusted individuals are allowed access to systems. Tammy Moskites, CIO/CISO of Venafi will discuss the rapidly emerging need for ensuring that the same controls are in place for the non human actors in your environment. Machines, Devices, Servers and Software are all blindly trusted across networks. Encrypted tunnels are great, but what happens if something or someone hides within the encrypted traffic, most systems pass encrypted traffic straight through.  Gartner predicts that over 70% of attacks in 2017 will use SSL, or machine identity – this is a vulnerability that everyone needs to understand, particularly as organisations move towards IoT and the rapid deployment of agile software. Tammy will also discuss her experience on the global arena and the challenges that she faces as CIO/CISO.
