Darwin Branch meeting: April 26

Darwin Month Day: branch meeting name
'Are you or your business impacted by the new Data Breach notification law?', with Brenda Monaghan,  Commissioner, Information & Public Interest Disclosures, NT Government.

Are you or your business impacted by the new Data Breach notification law?

On February 22, 2018 new data breach notification law came into effect.  Under this law, businesses will be required to alert the Australian Information Commissioner and all of its effected clients if they get hacked.

As a business operator within NT jurisdiction, are you or your customer impacted by this change?
General understanding around what, who and how this change will impact, to many it is still unclear.

To clarify, we have organised two experts to talk to you and share insights on the following:
Who must the comply with NDB Scheme
Which data breaches require notifications
Assessing suspected data breaches
How to notify
Helpful resources and tips

We would highly recommend individuals, businesses, employees of government agencies to attend and benefit from this event.

The event will be followed by a networking event with complimentary food and drinks.
