For AISA and the members of COTA (NT), the Peak Body for seniors in the Territory

We live in the most exciting times of the history – technological advancements, like internet, are keeping the young at heart socially active, and connected with the broader society. Internet space is a whole new world for the seniors and despite a growing interest of the internet, older people are relatively naive in this area. Key factors that make you a target:
Seniors are perceived not being technologically savvy.
It is assumed, seniors have accumulated substantial amount of wealth.
One of the main threats facing this group – is Cybercrime!
In this context, Cybercrime is a type of crime in which criminals may use computer to access personal information. Common types of cybercrime include hacking, online scams and fraud, identity theft. The effect of cybercrime can be extremely upsetting for victims.
