Topic: Continuous Auditing
This presentation will describe Continuous Auditing and how it
differs from, and supports, Continuous Monitoring. Our speaker will
present an approach for the development of a continuous auditing
application and discuss the challenges and opportunities presented
by the power of ACL to test key controls and to identify and assess
risks.
Speaker: David Coderre
David Coderre is the president of Computer Assisted Analysis
Techniques and Solutions and has extensive experience in the area
of data analysis to support internal audit. He has more than
eighteen years experience teaching ACL and over twenty-four years
experience of internal audit experience in a variety of settings.
David has worked with more than 500 audit teams to help them
maximise the use of data analysis to support their audit
objectives. He is a world renowned expert and has written several
books on the subject, including: "Internal Audit: Efficiency
through Automation" (Wiley and Sons 2009), "CAATTs and Other BEASTs
for Auditors" (3rd Edition, 2005), "Fraud Analysis Techniques using
ACL" (Wiley and Sons 2009), "Computer Aided Fraud Prevention and
Detection: A Step-by-Step Guide" (Wiley and Sons 2009) and
"Continuous Auditing: Implication for Assurance, Monitoring and
Risk Assessment".
