Certificate IV in ICT Security Management
12 day course in 4 x 3 day blocks
Next course commences 19 April 2011.
This certificate is designed to address the needs of people
responsible for, or who aspire to, the management of ICT Security
within their Government Department or Agency.
This specialist qualification covers all the legaslitive,
regulatory and mandated Government policies and instructions as set
down by the Attorney General's Department and the Defence Signals
Directorate.
To be eligible to enter this Certificate IV you will need:
- to be mature age (20 years plus),
- to be an Australian citizen,
- to work for a Government department or agency or private sector
equivalent,
- access to the specific work practices and procedures required
to demonstrate competency in the units undertaken.
And at least one of the following:
- 2 years in the ICT industry, e.g. 2 years as a system
administrator / ICT auditor,
- Previous qualifications in ICT e.g. CISA, CISM, CISSP, I-RAP,
MCSE, CCNA or industry equivalent.
Learning materials, lunch and light refreshments are included
with course costs.

N.B. This course is currently provided in Canberra only, at
Canberra Institute of Technology's Bruce Campus. However, CIT and
ITSEC Training Services are considering offering it in Sydney and
