Security as a Business Imperative

Starts: Friday 06 May 2011, 5:15PM

Finishes: Friday 06 May 2011, 7:00PM

Venue: Westpac, 60 Martin Place, Plaza Level (Ground Floor) Meeting Centre

Topic: Security as a business imperative - The objective of this meeting is to describe some of the challenges around communicating the benefits of InfoSec to the business.

Speaker: Peter Cooper, Woolworths

Peter has worked in IT security for more than 20 years. He has worked mainly in banking, including private & government posts. In these capacities he has been responsible for the IT security strategies protecting some of Australia's best known brands. Over the years he has developed a good understanding of what makes IT security work for organisations, and will share some of those learnings with his fellow AISA members today.

At the conclusion of the formal part of the meeting, we shall continue our discussion on "Security as a business imperative" over the road at Hotel Chambers. The first round will be on AISA!

Discussion Venue: Hotel Chambers

Hotel Chambers is on the corner of Elizabeth Street and Martin Place, directly opposite (across Martin Place) from Channel 7 and a few minutes walk from Westpac, our venue for the start of this meeting. Look for the AISA banner when you enter Hotel Chambers.

Many thanks to our sponsors:
