Topic: Computer Forensic Practitioners in
Commerce
In this month's branch meeting, Richard Adams will discuss his
insights as a computer forensic practitioner working in the
commercial environment.
Speaker: Richard Adams
Richard is a Principal at Deloitte in the Computer Forensic team
and is involved in matters that require computer forensic analysis
and/or data recovery.
Richard has worked in a number of sectors, including the armed
forces and law enforcement agencies throughout Europe in relation
to intelligence gathering, fraud and money laundering. As part of
his prior roles in the UK, Richard assisted with the development of
a national financial intelligence system and worked with the UK
National Criminal Intelligence Service, several large financial
institutions and HM Customs and Excise on the management of
disclosures and their related evidence.
Richard has worked on engagements for both criminal and civil
matters and through his experience, has an understanding of the
requirements of lawyers and of the courts in relation to the
handling and processing of evidence. His ongoing doctoral research
topic is the acquisition of potential electronic evidence. Richard
is on the Australian Standards ISO Committee for handling electonic
evidence.
