Topic: Taking A Look at Android
Security
The aim of this talk is to give a broad overview on Android
security issues. Before explaining the core Android security
concepts that are in place to protect devices and their users from
malicious attacks and exploits, our speaker, Dr Andreas Bauer, will
first explain what the Android system is, where it comes from, and
where it's going. The main focus of this talk however is to look at
the current threats to the Android system, to look at what research
has to say about them, and at practical means to protect Android
devices from threats.
